10 End Of World Predictions That Never Happened

When will be next?

Year 1999

1999 was an interesting year. There was a lot of predictions going around that year. From UFOs to meteorites to nuclear wars to world wide natural disasters.

But have you ever heard of Nostradamus? Well, he published a book called “The Prophecies” in 1555 and some of the prophecies in it, is believed to have came true.

But with these types of prophecies, where its written in riddles, you either misintrepret it or miss the point entirely.

Anyways, one of the most famous quatrains from the book goes like this,

“The year 1999, seventh month
From the sky will come the great King of Terror,
bringing back to life the great King of Mongols,
Before and after, Mars to reign by good fortune”

Nostradamus – “The Prophecies”

From that, do you get what I mean about misinterpreting it? What does it even mean? Well, some interpreted it saying that the world would’ve, should’ve ended in 1999.

Year 2000

Year 2000 was also a year where a lot of predictions for the end of the world, probably a continuation from 1999.

But the most interesting one was the prediction of the Y2K bug. Some people were worried that computers might just go haywire because of the 00 at the end of 2000, as programmers represented the four-digit year with only the final two digits with 00 being 19-00 rather than 20-00.

So assumptions for errors were not really unjustified.

But, with things like this, religious organizations, cults, conspiracy theorists all popped up saying the worse, the worse that the End-of the World was coming.
